Cost per piece: bales are cheaper per kilo, but the relevant comparison is cost per sellable piece, not cost per kilo. A bale at a low cost per kilo often contains a significant proportion of pieces that are not resellable without substantial cleaning, repair, or upcycling. A reseller box at a higher cost per piece delivers a higher proportion of immediately resellable stock.
